Mahayana Buddhist Temple Buddha is the largest in the NYC at 16 feet tall. The Goddess of Mercy, Kwan Yin, resides at the temple entrance listening to those that pray. Religious ceremonies and prayers are held every Sunday 10AM – 12PM. For a $1.00 donation you can select a fortune scroll and temple volunteers can interpret your fortune. The temple’s shop offers a variety of religious items like blessed power beads made from crystal and jade. Special Programs/Features: Guided Tour - Introduction to Buddhism

All ages welcome Groups can be accommodated on the following days and times: Features & Services It takes an average of 1/2 hour for a group of 20 to visit our facility. Group visits on Sunday must begin after 12PM. Capacity: Minimum persons for group event: 20 Maximum persons for group event: 100 Reservations must be made three days in advance. There are no tours during special events like Buddha’s birthday and other reserved services and ceremonies. The Temple has audio equipment (speakers and a microphone) for information sessions with groups. |
