The mass of happy diners at dim sum are as much a testimony to the quality of Golden Bridge’s fare as the recent restaurant review. Time Out New York calls it a “serious Cantonese venue” that “dim sum devotees” should consider. The carts start rolling at 9AM and continue unabated till 3PM.
As evening rolls around, the restaurant quiets down and serves up an abundance of seafood delicacies. The menu reads like an underwater attendance sheet with lobster, shrimp, scallops, abalone, sea cucumbers, and even six types of shark fin soup.
This titanic restaurant’s name is inspired by its remarkable view of the Manhattan Bridge and there are subtle tributes to it through out the restaurant. Golden Bridge opened in December 2004 with a modern interior, brand new kitchen, fully stocked lounge, dozens of plasma screens, and possibly some of the cleanest bathrooms in Chinatown. The restaurant has a bustling Dim Sum crowd that fills their 650 seat capacity main room and often spills over into the adjoining 350 seat capacity side room. In the evenings they often host large banquets but don’t be put off by the crowds because there’s always space in the adjoining dinning room.
