The dim-sum carts roll from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., but you can still get a nice assortment for the perfect dinner appetizer at $9.95 for a 12-piece set (4 kinds x 3 pieces of each). The dim sum arrives promptly in the traditional wooden steamer, and each piece has that pleasingly soft, chewy texture we like. The menu features Mandarin specialties along with traditional Chinese entrees, one of our favorite being the sauteed rice noodles with beef, which comes in a portion big enough to satisfy a pro football player. The noodles are richly smothered in a soy-based sauce, enough to add flavor without overwhelming the simplicity of this popular dish. Wrap up your meal with complimentary fruit. "DIM SUM" in glowing bright neon illuminates the exterior of this tiled storefront on Mott Street in the heart of Chinatown. Small windows invite a peek inside, where you find a relatively spacious interior with less bustle than many other restaurants, and a neat and comforting ambiance provided by the white and jade-green walls.
