New Mandarin and Cantonese Business Courses Offered Free at Chinatown Partnership

Courses Help Immigrant Merchants and Entrepreneurs Start, Operate, and Grow Their Businesses 

 

The Chinatown Partnership and Chinatown Business Improvement District are proud to announce new Mandarin and Cantonese business courses and workshops to be offered in collaboration with NYC Business Solutions of the NYC Department of Small Businesses for free to immigrant small business owners and entrepreneurs. 

 

The first workshops in Business Planning Basics will be offered in Mandarin on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 from 5:30pm to 8:30pm and in Cantonese on Thursday, June 26, 2014 from 5:30pm to 8:30pm at the Chinatown Partnership offices. Space is limited, RSVP at (212) 346-9288 for these free business education courses.

Free High School Summer Interns Available

July 7th through August 15th




The NYC Department of Education is seeking companies to host high school students studying information technologyadvertisingmedia, and graphicsas interns for the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Summer Scholars Program. The students are paid by the Department of Education. They spend Mon-Wed at their internships and Thurs-Fri in class. The program provides support for both student and host.  There is no cost to your company.

MOCATALKS: The Art of Straddling Boundaries with 

Artist Zhang Hongtu

 

Zhang Hongtu's paintings blur the boundaries between East and West, tradition and modernity. In conjunction with MOCA's latest exhibition, Oil & Water: Reinterpreting Ink, this MOCATALKS features a gallery tour and talk led by contemporary ink artist. Zhang Hongtu, who will elaborate on the hybrid aesthetics, methods, and influences that allow him to express his ever-evolving attitudes towards art, politics, and society.
